Hello All!  It is the new year and a brand new Marching Band season approaches.   Right now, band directors are gearing up to prepare for their fall show, perhaps making music choices, reviewing shows, and thinking about the potential for their band so that they are ready go in May.   Fundraising has not stopped from 2009.   We are still going strong.  Because, 2010 is here!   And, it won’t be long before we will start up the summer camps.

Hello All -

It is hard to believe that we are in November already. It just seems like last week, the kids were all in Band Camp.   The time really went by fast. Where did the time go?    I write today, because the YEA has posted the results of the USSBA National Championships for Friday and Saturday.    I was very surprised to see the turn-out from the area’s local high schools.   Bands from about a dozen states show up in Maryland for this event.    It is a packed weekend at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, MD.

Here are the results for groups I, II, IV, and V.  Click HERE to View

Northern States Champsionships are also going on this same weekend and also the Nov 14 up at J Birney Crum Stadium in Allentown.

Wow!  We are right in the middle of the Marching Band season going full tilt, and already plans for Indoor are under way.   USSBA just announced their Indoor Schedule  http://www.yea.org/site/News2?page=NewsArticle&id=17364&news_iv_ctrl=1401   And Cavalcade of Bands has their schedule up on their web site at http://www.cavalcadeofbands.com/tables.php?p=20&t=Show&r=Indoor.

It wont be long, and practices will be starting up for the 2010 season before you know it!
